Terms of Service
Terms of Service
Last updated: August 20, 2026
Agreement
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Seamark Beacon, the control plane for Kafka Connect and Debezium pipelines operated by Seamark Labs (“we”, “us”, or “Seamark”). By signing in or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you are using the service on behalf of a company or other organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and “you” refers to that organization.
The service
Seamark Beacon gives teams a single view of their Kafka Connect and Debezium pipelines, with operational controls and an audit trail. You are responsible for your own infrastructure and data pipelines; the service helps you observe and operate them safely.
Accounts and registration
You sign in with GitHub, Google, or Microsoft. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate account information and keep it up to date. You may not share access in a way that lets unauthorized people use the service on your behalf.
Your responsibilities
You agree that you will:
- Use the service in compliance with applicable law and only for lawful purposes.
- Provide accurate information about the clusters, connectors, and credentials you register.
- Ensure you have the right to access the infrastructure you connect to the service, including any credentials you provide.
- Not attempt to disrupt, probe, or interfere with the service or the infrastructure that supports it.
- Not use the service to build a competing product or to scrape or repackage its data.
Early-stage service
Seamark Beacon is an early-stage product. Features may change or be removed, and the service may not always be available. We work to keep the service reliable, but we do not yet offer formal uptime commitments or enterprise support agreements. Plan limits may change as we refine the product, and we will communicate changes that affect you.
Intellectual property
The service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by Seamark Labs and its licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for your internal business purposes. You retain all rights to your data and your infrastructure.
Third-party services
The service relies on third-party providers including MongoDB Atlas, Vercel, and the GitHub, Google, and Microsoft sign-in services. These providers have their own terms and privacy policies that may apply to you. The service is not affiliated with or endorsed by these providers.
Termination
You can stop using the service at any time and can delete workspaces or your account through the product. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if continued access poses a risk to the service, its users, or our legal obligations. On termination, we will delete or anonymize your data as described in our Privacy Policy.
Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will protect your infrastructure from every failure. Operational controls are intended as a convenience; you remain responsible for supervising changes to your production systems.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Seamark Labs will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or business opportunity, arising out of or related to your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim related to the service will not exceed the amounts you have paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the service evolves. When we make changes, we will post the updated Terms on this page and update the “last updated” date. Your continued use of the service after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
